The Mumbulla Creative Team
Charmaine and Jason Mumbulla are the couple behind Sydney creative agency Mumbulla Creative. Based on Gadigal/Wangal Country, the pair have strong connections to the Gumbaynggirr of the Mid-North Coast NSW and the Kaurna and Narungga from the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. They bring a wealth of experience to the agency, with their unique cultural background and experiences allowing them to effectively tell your story through their art.
Charmaine Mumbulla
Creative Director
Charmaine is a Kaurna and Narungga woman from South Australia. Her background is in arts, education and social justice law. As a professional digital artist, Charmaine has carved out a space as a highly regarded creative professional and was recently named winner of the National NAIDOC Poster Competition for 2019. Charmaine is passionate about working on projects that support reconciliation and social justice. Using bright colours and organic shapes, Charmaine’s designs are influenced by natural elements found throughout the traditional countries where she lives and works.
Jason Mumbulla
Managing Director
Jason is a Gumbaynggirr man from the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. He is passionate about art and science and brings vital technical and photographic skills to Mumbulla Creative projects. Jason has completed a Degree in Fine Arts from COFA and over the past 25 years has worked extensively in Aboriginal arts, IT and science.
